Winchester 338 to 375 Conversion
I have a stainless classic in 338 and was wondering what the expense would be to change it to 375H&H.

Thanks.

Action is the same length and yes it needs to be modified. Bolt stop needs to be changed and the little spacer at the end of the magazine box needs to be removed. Most of the one's I seen that were converted also have some metal removed from the top of the action in the rear to allow loaded rounds to eject easier. This then requires a new hole to be drilled and tapped for a scope base.
Not a difficult job at all. My local smith charges $100
