You bet Jeff. Called Leupold today... no go. Burris has nothing in their catalog. Next stop B-Square or, "Eureka", Weaver!

I talked with Weaver this morning...another no go. They had them at one point but dropped Kimber bases from their line.

Any base options besides the rear windage screw setup for the Kimbers?

Jeff, Talley currently makes their all-steel bases and rings for the 8400. I've never used the detatchable (vertically split) Talley's but I'm told they're great. The low's sit a bit high for my taste but if that's not a big deal I can't imagine a finer set up. Talked to Gary this morning and he told me they'll be bringing out their "lightweight's" (Mel Forbes design) for the 8400 this summer after their move from WY to SC (June 15th). The Lightweight's will come in a bit under 2 oz's and they're "bullet proof." I'll wait for those.

Thanks for the feedback Brad. I still want Weaver style bases however.
