Now you've done it. Your SUPPOSED to shoot the elephant BEFORE you need a new front sight. rotflmo

Retreever.....I know that Connecticut Shotguns sells Ivory "shotgun" beads (part #PH100 in their cataloge). Call 1-800-515-4867 and ask if you could put this on a double rifle or have them make you one that is threaded. The ones they sell do not appear threaded.

I may be accused of some sort of heresy, but I thought the nec plus ultra was supposed to be warthog ivory. Just carve a little chunk out of one of your wartie trophies.

Don't know what the front sight on your Famars looks like.

On the flip-ups I just glue them in the upright position so they don't move.

Surely you can get a gunsmith to fake it with one of the NECG white beads. Or get one of the threaded shotgun beads and screw it in behind the front sight.

What's a matter old man, can't see that tiny brass bead anymore? Smiler
