I'd go ,725, just to get an eigth of an inch of steel all around the muzzle end, but that's probably just me. FWIW - Dan

Capstick,

Unless I have a specific need, i.e Light barrel for an application, or conversely a heavy barrel for a purpose, I have found that regardless of caliber in barrels of 22" to 25", the best balance is obtained by adding no less than .250" to no greater than .300" to the bore.

So for your .475 bore, a barrel between .725" to .775" should balance right, IMHO.

That would be LW # 3100 Light weight target barrel .750" @ muzzle.

Regards,

Bob
