...least about "doing it yourself?" I love to work on my Mausers; love it! And I like wooden stocked rifles. But I hate inletting and sanding stocks. I like metal working, polishing, applying a stock finish, etc - but it takes me too long to get the stock just right. I don't see how you pros do it! Does anyone else have a particular dislike when it comes to tinkering with guns? Jason "Chance favors the prepared mind."

Not having the right tools around and having to 'fudge' more than I would like. Inletting is a pain.

I don't do it very much but I like inletting. Its lots of fun if you have good sharp tools, good scrapers, a good vise, and good light. About the only thing I hate about it is that the Jarrow's inletting black gets everywhere even if a person is careful with it.

The thing I hate most about DIY is I'm my worst credict. Instead of enjoying what I've done I knitpick all the things I could have done better and don't enjoy the finished piece. Terry -------------------------------------------- Well, other than that Mrs. Lincoln, how was the play?

Laying a tool or part down on my bench and turning around and not being able to find it for 10 minutes.
