A friend has a 1885 High Wall Win. which has been relined to .225 Win. Is it possible to have it relined again back to the original 45-70? Or would it be simpler to rebarrel? I thought if possible, relining would keep it a little closer to orginal.

Any input or suggestions would be appreciated.

Thanks,

Joe A.

Bienke & Beinke in Klamath Falls, Oregon can do it. Saving the original barrel, and markings, is worthwhile.

I would think it would depend on whether the barrel was reamed out for the liner or not.
