Jeweled bolt. Why?
I couldn't help but to see a complete disconnect to logic when a poster offered two IBeams to support flutting strength, as opposed to the actual flutting of an IBeam to prove their point.

I like my jeweled bolts and rails. Those actions feel as slick as any action I've ever handled, and look a lot better as well. Have one that is 50 plus uears old, no signs of wear.

The sooner the intense heat of combustion dissapates out of a barrel to atmosphere, the better it is for a barrel.
My thin barrel .270WBY got hot to touch real quick, a thicker barrel would have more effectively retained that heat.
A fluted barrel will somewhat better assist in heat dissipation (vs) a non-fluted.
