A young (13 yo) LH friend would like to try the shoot in Libby. I have Win M70 LH 375 he could shoot, but at 14" LOP, ain't gonna fit at all, and the wood is nice, so not butchering. I have a couple of LH Rem M700 mag stocks. Do you think the M70 can be Bubba'd into one of them? I have one wood, one plastic. Doesn't have to look pretty, just function.

Might try cdnnsports.com - they have a number of left hand Winchester stocks at pretty good prices

Although my gun plumbing advice is seldom requested by guild members I have switched stocks designed for LA Rem 700's to M-98 Mausers and back to SA 700's using Devcon as a bedding agent.

Anyone who claims the 30-06 is ineffective has either not tried one, or is unwittingly commenting on their own marksmanship

You can probably get a Boyds for just over $100. You can't Bubba up a Remchester for that amount if you value your time.

Thanks to all, esp RR fro CO and 458. I'm flattered receiving advice from Sir Phil. No doubt it could be made to work as he says. There is definitely something to be said for using brains and imagination in lieu of $$$ and more stuff.

With you help gentlemen, I can present the young man's father with some rational options,

Again, thanks.
