This is my newest rifle and it is ugly. I built it on a Predator Stainless receiver, Shilen SS barrel, Shilen trigger, McMillan stock, Talley rings, and a Swarovski scope. It is in 300 SAUM. The finish is flat teflon.

I hope to make my first trip to the range tomorrow. Vapodog, I guess that I just wanted it. Same as my 458 Lott that David Christman is finishing up on now. It doesn't take much for any of us to have a good excuse to build another rifle.

Butch,

Is the bolt body and handle as the action came from Jerry??

What bottom metal did you use, and what trigger??

My Predator is with Mike Bryant at this point, hopefully he'll find time to chamber (.308 Win) and install the barrel soon, then it is off to Serengeti for a Sako style stock...

MHO, it has a Shilen trigger and factory bottom metal. I have bottom metal coming from Dave Kiff in Chromoly. The bolt handle and body are as it came from Stiller. It is armoloy coated. You picked a great guy to do your work.

Thanks for the reply Butch, yours is the first Predator turned into a finished rifle I have seen. Nifty.

Butch:

It looks great. But I did not expect anything less from you. Not only is it a testiment to you it says a lot for Jerry Stiller and Dave Kiff. Are your going to come up this fall and try it on some Whitetails?

Hello Nat
We have been working on our property on the Brazos and think we are going to have a good whitetail season. We sure need to get rid of a bunch of hogs though. A young friend, just out of the Army, said he saw a lot of whitetails in N.C.
