Got out a reamer today that I haven't used in several years, and for some reason the pilot is missing. It's a Clymer, and I need a .44 cal pilot for it. Clymer's bushings are different than anyone elses. I went to Clymers website, and it's essentially worthless. Looks like the only way to get information is to call. Looked at Brownells, couldn't find it. I can't find any retail dealer that sells Clymer. Anyone know where I can order a bushing for this reamer?

thanks,
dave

They're simple to make.

Hmmm, could do that. The diameter inside was odd, might cost me a decimal reamer. For the $12 and postage that they usually cost (at least for manson or PTG) I'd rather buy if I can.

Use a decimal drill bit or a small boring bar and you could have it today. Or, turn the reamers pilot shank to a diameter to match a reamer you have and be done with it. A carbide cutter will reduce the diameter of the shank in nothing flat.

And make CERTAIN that reamer is turning DEAD true between centers or you will hate yourself in the morning. Frowner

I make my own out of brass used a 15/64ths drill. Don't start whittling on it just yet.
