I've found a Mossberg 1500 .243 on a dealer's shelf for $300. I know that is a little over blue book price.
I understand that the Mossberg 1500 is the Howa action. Is it a less desirable action, lower quality, etc.?
Anyone ever owned one of these? What kind of performance did you get out of it?

you can get a new howa in whatever for the same price here. $225 would be a good price for a used one.

nice gun...
stay away from the 800/810,... if you ever handle one, work the bolt, you'll see why...
