Have a project where I need 6” of liner to convert a Colt SAA to .32-20. Hate to buy a full-length liner just for 6”. Anyone here have a scrap laying around?

Think he charges about $4.25 per inch of liner.

"Standard" .32-20 groove diameter is in the neighborhood of .312"

.32 Special and .32-40 in the neighborhood of .321"

8mm "S" groove, now the most common, about .323"; the older "J" diameter was .318" or so.

If you want the revolver to take "standard" .32-20, I'd either use a correctly sized liner or perhaps find a length of .303 British, 7.62x54R Russian or even 7.62x39 barrel that measured .310" - .312".

Matching the groove diameter to the chamber mouths would be doing your project a favor, too.

That's right; maybe I am remembering wrong; it was decades ago.

I used the 8 mm and an old but good Mosin Nagant rifle barrel . One was a colt in 32 long the other was smith in 32 , both seemed to shoot about the same as far as accuracy .
