Bedding with dual recoil lugs

Just curious if most people bed both recoil lugs to bear the recoil evenly or if you relieve the rear lug slightly? It would seem to me that if the rear lug was to bear more load than the front, then accuracy could be potentially spoiled. I had a local 'smith advise me to bed both lugs and then have him mount the stock in his mill and remove about .001 from the rear lug's rear surface. This would of course guarantee that the front lug bore most of the load.

My question for ya'll is weather this is splitting hairs or if it has merit.

Thanks

Gabe

My guess is that even pressure on both lugs is the way to go. I know one thing, I'd shoot it with it bedded making full contact on both lugs, before I went to the trouble of machining the rear one.
