Nothings wrong with mine, in fact I like the feel of it which is why I'm asking if the safety can be removed and the trigger used with a 3 position safety. From your answer it seems it can be. It's the side safety I don't like.

i've only replaced them with timney, and it's just the mauser 98 (markx, NOT cz) trigger. the mark x trigger is generally a fairly decent trigger, and fully adjustable.. in fact, I took a bold OFF a mexican mauser and used a mark x, using a 3pos safety, and removing the safety from the side. what's the matter with yours? jeffe

If I convert my Whitworth from the side safety to a 3 position Model 70 style, can I remove the side safety from the existing trigger or is the trigger function different neccesitating a new trigger assembly. If you were to replace the whole trigger what are the options for a quality assembly (in other words, not bold or timney). Is there a source for the steel bodied Sako? units I find on original FNs?
