Question re Ruger 77 push feed
I forgot whether the Ruger 77 push feed had a plunger to eject the case, or if it used an ejector similar to the mauser?

The 77 tang model had a plunger type ejector. The later 77 MK II had the mauser type claw extractor and stationary ejector.

OK, jeffe, help me understand a bit. When you say "same ejector" do you mean the same as the m77mkII that is made now? Do you mean that when they went with the MKII designation, they dropped the plunger, and went to the ejector, but at first the bolt was still push feed and had the ejector slot cut in the left side of the bolt?
