I want to replace the stock front site on my Ruger Magnum....what's the trick to getting it out? I've pushed the little button down and gently tapped with a plastic mallet,,,actually a little more than tapped...no luck. I was going to put a quick application of a heat gun to it....good idea? I just don't seem to be able to budge it. Thanks for any suggestions. Gary

If they are like to old Ruger M77 front sights, you are doing it the right way. If it is sticking that hard put a little Liquid Wrench (or any other pentrating oil) on it for a day or so and try tapping on it again. "I ask, sir, what is the Militia? It is the whole people. To disarm the people is the best and most effective way to enslave them" - George Mason, co-author of the Second Amendment during the Virginia convention to ratify the Constitution
