My neighbor gave me one of her late husband's guns , a Mossberg 9200. It will not cycle low velocity trap loads, I cleaned it well an checked gas seals and vents.. still will not cycle trap loads but handles heavier low brass game loads ok. Any suggestions?

The term "trap loads" covers a lot of ground. A lot of gas operated semi autos designed for 3" loads may handle the heavier 2 3/4" shells but not the lighter ones. Try some 1 1/8oz, 3 dram target loads and see if it will function with those.
