Recommended twist rate for 300 H&H.....?
What is the standard/recommended twist rate for the 300 H&H mag?

I will be using 180 & 200gr. bullets such as Nosler Part., Swift A-Frame & Barnes TSX/MRX.....and likely some 165 & 220gr bullets from time to time as well.

Thanks,
Dave

I would recommend a 1 in 10 twist rate for those bullet weights.

Ditto.

The tighter 1 in 10 twist rate would be better for the longer 200 & 220gr bullets....but, how about the shorter 165 & 180grs?

I am sure there is a trade off here.....I just want to get and idea of how much of one there is.

Thanks,
Dave

I always recommend picking the twist rate based on the heaviest bullet you intend to use. The lighter stuff will be fine.
