bore a .270 Ruger #1 to???

can I have a gunsmith bore out a ruger #1a .270 to a short cartridge like say...a 358 win? Would a re-barrel work?

I have an "extra" ruger #1 .270 laying around and I am not sure what to do with it! Got plenty of .270's...
