jeffeossoit's a cut down 9,3x64 case, necked to 375 and improved. at higher pressure, it's a closer runner to the 375HH but fits in a standard action, more or less. the casehead is .500 more or less
i've built a couple of these, fantastic round
A fantastic round it is!!

I built one on a VZ-24 22" douglas tube, 300g rn @ 2425 fps!!

vapodogIt was developed by Hornady in collaboration with Steyr. I'm not really sure it's based on anything. It was intended to approximate .375 H&H performance in a standard length action. Maybe someone else makes ammo for it but certainly Hornady does.
It does everything it was intended to do.....a nice piece of work by the developers.

DobleTrobleIt also fits and feeds nicely in an unmodified (save for magnum bolt face) intermediate Mauser action, which are plentiful and cheap right now.

lawndartCrusher,
I think you won't like it a bit.
You would be ahead of the game to just sell me the Krieger (which I would then have chambered for the 376 Steyr and stuck on an intermediate mauser action).

lawndartBrass is available. Hornady makes it.
The Mark 10 would work fine. You just have to knock out the magazine spacer.
