Going to purchase a used Ruger M77 MarkII in 270. Rifle is in great shape except side of stock has squiggly impressions from when it was carried against a buckle or button. Not scratched, mostly pressed into the wood. What are basics for re-finishing a stock ? I have some furniture experience, but never a stock. I want to return to its original look. Thanks

I suggest you use the search function as this topic's been covered quite a few times. Search on raising dents too. John Farner If you haven't, please join the NRA!
