go to get a Martini operating lever replated?

Is there anywhere in the Phoenix, AZ area you would suggest?

This lever is a very fancy "schuetzen-type" lever on my 1890-ish Swiss Martini match rifle made in Zurich by a maker who went out of business in 1895. It was originally plated with something, possibly nickle, german silver, or chrome. The plating has flaked to where it looks more scabrous than attractive. I do not want to send it to Doug Turnbull because of the time involved in getting it there and back. I do not have any lengthy time to wait for it.

I AM going to get it done somewhere, so I do not need pious answers saying that I should leave it as it is.

Thank you for your ideas.

Thank you Nakihunter. You, as most Kiwis, are always the gentleman.

Just as an update, I got my refinished lever back today...a most beautiful job of NP3 refinishing....but then why wouldn't it be? I live only about 6 or 7 miles from Robbie Barkman.

The colour and texture of the finish enhance (rather than compete with) the blue and walnut of the rest of the rifle.

(The colour and finish look very much like the same process used by Ruger for some of it's subdued, frosty gray finish it uses on some of its varmint rifles and actions such as the M77-.22 Vs...

Thanks for the reminder. Although I have casually known Robbie for years and the co-owner of the shop where I do my business is one of his in-laws, somehow I had forgotten all about him. I have long touted his work, and he came through splendidly.
