blackbearhunterOld ruger 77 trigger
How hard is it to adjust the weight of pull on the old red pad tang safety ruger 77 triggers?
Will the rifle have to be removed from the stock? Thanks for any help

It will have to be removed from the stock but is fully adjustable for weight of pull, sear engagement and overtravel. If you are not familiar with the model and with triggers in general, you might want to refer it to a gunsmith who is. Regards, Bill.

blackbearhunterYes ..it has the little screw on the trigger front..
I was planning on "for sure letting my gunsmith fix it",but didnt know if it was something real simple like turning it clockwise a half turn or something i could do like that,I have never fiddled with a trigger before except on a muzzle loader/T/C Hawken/which is only clockwise/counterclockwise adjustment for hair trigger or almost hair trigger, this little ruger 77 has about a 8# trigger feels like and will have to be adjusted or replaced,3# is what i like for a trigger pull the best..Thanks very much for all the help
