A few years ago, a friend won one of the Zastava Mausers imported by KBI for Charles Daly in an Elk Foundation raffle. (Chambered in 7mm Rem mag)

He never fired the rifle, but now wants to take it as a back-up to his main rifle on a hunt this fall. Information on scope bases for the Daly is just about non-existent, although we see information for other Mauser rifles.

Could someone please advise as to whether bases listed for other rifles would fit the Daly? If I remember correctly, Remington now imports the Zastavas, so I'm guessing that bases designed for those Remingtons are OK, but would appreciate confirmation. Not looking for anything fancy, as it's not his primary rifle. Perhaps Leupolds (I've got a pair of extra Leupold rings laying around that I can give him), or somethign similar.

In looking for bases for my Whitworth Interarms, I found a set of Warne Maxima bases for FN Mausers. THe chart says that this set also fits Interarms Mark X, Charles Daley, Rem 798, Parker Hale, etc.

Any bases desinged for the FN or MKX should work fine.
