What are some good muzzle diameters for the .375 bore? Thanks

It depends on the rifle. How heavy do you want the thing to end up being? You can have from .625 to .750 and be in the ballpark for a hunting rifle. I like them on the heavy side.

My Winchester is .725" and that makes it very soft shooting. That's probably as heavy as I'd go. I have a Sako FN in 375 H&H that is .575" at the muzzle. It is nice and light, yet still easy to shoot. I have had it to Africa several times and it has a bunch of animals. this is the one rifle that I could never sell. Just too many memories. When I had a 375 H&H built to my specs I went whit a diameter of .640". I feel that this is too heavy for a 375 with most standard barrel contours but it is about right with the contour that I used(Mauser sporter, stepped profile). Just keep in mind that a 375 does not need to be heavy to be shootable. Jason "You're not hard-core, unless you live hard-core." _______________________ Hunting in Africa is an adventure. The same can be said for everything down to the 22 rimfire. Jason "You're not hard-core, unless you live hard-core." _______________________ Hunting in Africa is an adventure.
