My upcoming project is to build a Mauser on a British stalking rifle stock. I was looking at the one GAG has on their listing. My question is: are the swivels that are mounted with two screws inleted into the stock or on top of the wood? I can not seem to find any closeup photos showing that type of mount. I was hoping someone here might be able to point me in the right direction

Either one. Kind of! You can inlet or it can set on top and there will be a little "bubble" of wood that it is inlet into. If that makes since. The GAG pattern will come with this "bubble" I sanded it off and inlet it flush. You can see them here on the stock I recieved from them.
