I was just given to me a used mini lathe. It is in pretty good shape, but has no instructions for it. It is a UNIMAT made by Canadain Edelstool Inc. Model number DB200. Does anyone know anything about this unit? How about where to get a manual for it. I am starting a new career at age 43 and I am at a training facility away from home for 6 months. I hope to use this as a means of keeping sane. Distraction/relaxation from studing when time allows. Any and all information would be greatly appreciated. I have tried unsuccessfully to find Edelstool or unimat on the net and have come up empty handed. Thanks. Smokey

try www.rejon.co.uk
This is the Rejon company and according to the website they carry Unimat. Also look in the ads in Rifle or Handloader magazines, there is an ad there for an importer that handles Jet and Unimat (I think).

Here is the best mini-lathe site:

http://www.cartertools.com/

Enough there to keep you busy! I didn't see any links to Unimat stuff, but I'm sure you'll find a reference to it somewhere, otherwise send Nick an email.

Good luck on school! It can be an abrupt change of pace doing it all over again.

You can find out things about your unimat if you check out http://www.lathes.co.uk/index.html
look for EMCO lathes, they are the same as unimat, for further information, send email to the guy operating this site.

Hello Smokey

Blue Ridge Machine and Tool has parts for the DB200. I have had one for years and do small stuff with it, also trim cases.
