huntingcatI'm serious now - CNC checkering wouldn't be impossible. Could use a digitizer probe to map the Z axis.

ArcticCNC is being done, Glenn Morovitz was doing Weatherby's stocks with a CNC milling machine, and then developed a CNC checkering program for the same. ~Arctic~

I have been working on a DVD for checkering and I have the first one made, but need to edit the info and add voice over in some places. This is from my Hi8 video's from 10 to 12 yrs ago, so it takes time to convert from the analog to VHS and then to DVD. I should have this finished shortly and I will send you a copy. This info needs to be put in order, but I could send you an unedited copy and you could pick up the parts that you will need. It appears that this DVD will be over an hour long. My Canon Hi8 camcorder has stopped playing the sound so I am looking for a new camera, but can't make up my mind as to the type to buy. It will play the old tapes, but sound has to come through the ear plug and amplified to hear. Just a few thoughts on what's happened since the meeting on June 9th at your house. Les

jeffeossoLes,
I would be proud to own a copy of your tape.. and I would imagine, after a couple years of checkering, i would get a big "ah-ha" every time i would watch theunedited part, were i have been asking myself "do what"
Thanks for coming to the stock turning.. mike says the stock turned out okay!
