I bought a new extractor for my dad's savage 99 .308 as the old one is extremely weak.

Can someone tell me how to install the new one.

Any special thing to watch for?

**you need to remove the stock
you need to remove the bolt stop screw and stop
**open the action slowly the cut off will fall out to the right.
remove the lever out the bottom, it has a cap screw on the one side.
the extractor is its own spring remove the pin on the right side dive it out upwards.then the extractor comes out.

Hey Vapo,
I live a few hours west of you ( I know where you live because a friend of mine has a key to your shooting range and we've used it twice, Nice BTW!)

I've installed two extractors in Savage 99 rifles and if you bring it my way we can install it in a couple hours.

Send me a PM if you want some help with it.
