Reboring 375 H&H to 404 Jeff?
I know a 375 H&H barrel would have to be set back a little to clean up the belt with a 404 Jeffery rebore. Would setting it back enough to clean up the belt be enough? It appears looking at the cartridge dimensions it would do it. Any thoughts? Thanks.

Actually, no set back needed. Rebore and rechamber. No where is a 404 smaller than a 375hh. .548 around the base vs .535. Chamber measurements boys, I know what the cases measure

+1 Never done it but thought about it a couple years ago. My research said the samething.

Thanks guys for the info. I have been considering a rebore for some time. I had really good luck with a 30-06 to 35 Whelen rebore and would love to do another to end up with the 404 Jeffery.
