The Remington line of 700 and model 7 barrels all have 1.100 X 16 thread in the shank. Thay are definitly the same. coffee

It been a while since I've work on one but my notes say M700 threads are 1.0625X16 TPI

Roll Eyes I have one set of data listing it as 1.05 x16 and another as 1&1/16x16tps which your 1.0625x16.

All said an done the various sources say the M7 & M700 are the same. Which was the orginal question.

It is 1 1/16X16 and will fit. Just need to check the headspace and if you want the lettering and sights aligned a little more work.

olcrip you had mauser on the brain 1.100 is a 98 Big Grin
I have to look in my note book every time someone asks anything other then small ring or large ring.
a good machinist told me one time never try to memorize anything other then WHERE to find the info.
