Hi guys, Im looking for a bit of advice about how to remove the front and rear sights from the barrel of my remington 700 cdl in 243.

There appear to be two scres in the rear sight and 1 in the front. the front sight looks like if i drift out the vertical piece, i will find another screw underneath. Is this correct and if and when I remove these screws will the sight parts just come straight off or are they brazed, soldered or glued on in any way?

I ask the question before i start as i dont want to make a mess of things if there is no way to get them off anyway.

Many thanks guys
chris

Yep, they come right off. The fillers screws on the receiver probably won't work on the holes, though.
