Wayfaring StrangerAny difference between a remington m 7 and 700>
Are they different actions, or is the model 7 just a short barrel version of the short action model 700?
Wondering because I found a steal on a model 7 and am thinking about using it as the platform for a custom job.

m7 is a great rifle .. stocks may be somewhat of thinner selection than 700,

The M7 action is shorter than the M700 short action.

Tapper2If you find a "steal" in .300 RSAUM, buy it as it is a great platform for other rounds or as a .300 RSAUM. I have 5 RSAUM's, 3 in Mod. 7's, one in a Mauser, one in a 700. All work equally well.....Tom
