fla- Have you seen any in this range within the past couple of years? I never see them come up for sale, and when I do they are more than that. If you know where i can find them for that price I will buy at least a couple. I have 1 and it would take considerably over $200 to get it out of my safe. But if you know where some are, please PM me or something. Thanks!

Last one I bought was nicely sported and only cost me $250 shipped. I got lucky. Then again, I found three receivers for $50 each with everything but bolts. The bolts ran me on average about $150 ea. But I was again, very lucky. If I saw a good action for $350 it would go home with me every time. Aut vincere aut mori

I second what Stokheld had to say. If you can point me in the direction of some good 1936 Mexican actions for $250 I would be grateful. I would buy up to 5 at that price if you know where they are.

Why not buy a Brno 21? | |||

Cuz they are even harder to find and command even more $$$. A lot for many to fork over if the action is all you are after. Additionally, the M21 action is a standard length action which is not always needed, especially if you are planning on using an intermediate length cartridge. Aut vincere aut mori

I saw a complete '36 for just under 800, that's why I asked- so is 350-500 about the range they sell for? seems so.

If you only want the action, you can still find stripped receivers cheap, buy Yugo48 bolts, trigger and swede bottom metal, but it still will come to more than $200-$250.

My 1910 Mexican set me back about $350. The action was perfect though. Mark Stratton said he hadn't seen one that clean before, especially on the inside. $200-$400, it won't matter by the time you're finished if you find a good one and build a nice rifle with it. A couple hundred dollars is insignificant in the price of a custom Mauser project unless you're trying to build it on the cheap. If that's the case I would suggest just buying one off gunbroker or a pawn shop that's already been done. I would worry more about the condition than the price. What the action cost is going to be about the smallest investment in your rifle project. Terry -------------------------------------------- Well, other than that Mrs. Lincoln, how was the play?

I don't know about the 36 mex, but I know where there is a 32 mex that I don't think you could put a value on. Sexy, smart, and wow you should see her dance! sorry guys, keep seeing the thread title and couldn't help myself. She really is hot if that is a consolation for my hijack. I sold two on the Classified Forum within the last 6 months, one for $185 the other for around $225. I'll keep my eyes open for others. NRA Life Member, Band of Bubbas Charter Member, PGCA, DRSS. Shoot & hunt with vintage classics.
