I have a couple lovely Dakotas I would like stocked in McMillan stocks (which I do not have) so I don't have to worry about every nick or gouge. Any recommendations for a gunsmith to do this will be much appreciated. I know I'm going to hear the "don't worry about it just take it hunting" response. Unfortunately, I'm just not wired that way so a synthetic spare is my answer.

You can send it to McMillan and they will fit your stock. Otherwise, MNR who posts here has shown some really nice work with synthetic stocks. Bedding a fiberglass stock is a pretty easy afternoon job. Jeremy
