Bending trigger on shotgun

Years ago attempted to bend a front trigger on a Francotte, cracked it and had to build a new trigger. Have a fellow left me an English sxs wanting the front trigger bent as it is curved quite a lot and biting his finger when shooting the back trigger. Previously heated the Francotte trigger almost red, cracked when attempted to bend it. Also, should this one bend successfully, intend to then harden it with Kasenit, which I still have and have used in the past. Any thoughts would be appreciated

Leave it alone. It doesn't need to be hard unless there is a sear involved, which there usually isn't.

Thanks, its typical A&D design, just the blade that lifts the sear.
