Hogkiller, how does the floor plate reliese? Is there a screw you have to take out in that rear hole?
The 720 has a 3 piece with the trigger gaurd(aluminum) seperate and the front plate piece that hold the box in. Mine been bubba'd and box has been chopped in depth for a slim stock bubba job.
I need to replace the hole thing . I think a military enfield mag box is longer in depth.

Hog KillerFloor plate, releases by pressing on the recessed latch at the rear of the floor plate. Then slide plate to the rear, plate, spring , and follower will then come out. One thing about it, you do not have to worry about dumping any ammo by accident.
What are you going to chamber it to?

It has a pencil thin 270 barrel on it , I will probably rebarrel to 3006 . Wish it had the original contour barrel on it.

Hog KillerJust sold the original barrrel from my 30S. Someone had turned it from 30-06 to 308Norma Mag. It now is a 458 Lott.

I thought about a big caliber but I dont want to alter the bolt face on this 720. Thought about a 338-06 and was compareing the bullistics .
I need bottom metal and mag box if you know where to find them.
Your rifle looks like a nice one.
