Rick, Impressive, most impressive! Hey was that back in the blue section? It is blue isn't it, or is it yellow??? Hey, I would like a 460 Rowland conversion for the 1911. Can you please direct me the correct page number in the Brownell's catalog, the part number wouldn't hurt either! Thanks, ASS_CLOWN

Rem. guard screws are 1/4x28tpi.You can get allen head screws at any industrial hardware. They come in various lengths so you can grind to fit

Get the long screws from Brownell's, and "trim to fit" your rifle. I seem to need the longer screws myself almost every time I swap out to a synthetic stock, so I just take it for granted that I'll be "customizing" screws each time.

Those screws are "cap-head" style so depending on your trigger guard they may not fit. Rick

Word to the wise... Be very careful when you install a longer front screw because you can easily damage the barrel threads if you seat it too deep. Do yourself a favor and measure the depth before you start cranking that screw in there. Rick

Actually the front screw goes into the bolt lug recess. More than one bolt has been "nailed shut" due to the screw being run up hard against the bottom of the locking lug! The other side of it is putting it in without the bolt being installed, and then not being able to get the bolt rotated fully into position. (Yep, I'm guilty of doing both! )
