Has anyone fit one of these to an M98? Is the kickoff bar that is sold seperately required, or is it just a replacement if you botch the first one.

I'm starting to think a double set trigger just may be a future upgrade to the rifle I'm working on.

Yes you need the kick off bar or sear adaptor.

For a very good article on how fit a double set trigger check out Do It Yourself Gunsmithing by Jim Carmichel. I beleive it was published by Outdoor Life.

Paul,
I have one on a BRNO 21 that I am just stocking. I have very mixed emotions about leaving the double set trigger on it. Frankly I wish I hadn't. I am going to talk to some folks at the ACGG show on the 8th and will get back to you. Am hoping I can drastically reduce the unset realease from 1.5 long tons to somehting more manageable in case I want to not use the hair trigger. First response I got was not good about doing that. I will keep in touch.

By the way the rifle does shoot very well, but has it's idiosyncracies (yeah, I probably misspelled it, along with misspelled, one s or two?)

Paul, that piece has to be fit into the bottom of the sear. I just checked in my shop and I have one in a sear already installed and it is yours if you would like it. Just email your address to me. I will never use it.

Chic
