Can anyone tell me if this is illegal? I have heard no gun parts of any type to be sent to European countries. Anyone got any info on this subject?

Here is the agency of the U.S. government in charge of export licenses:

The problem with a rifle barrel is that it is "dual use technology" (civilian and military) so you might need an export license.

You might also want to ask the people at www.weareguns.com It seems they specialize in firearms export from the US. As a commercial venture they will probably want to profit from any assistance they give, but I have no first hand experience with them, just found them on the web.
