I hope someone can help. I want to scope my SBEII for turkey hunting. I bought the appropriate weaver style base, went to the basement, got out my barrel and am now stumped. There are screws in the 4 holes, but they seem to be painted over in camo. I scraped at one to see if it just had a plastic plug in it(on top of screw head, but it seems like the screw head is just a flat with no torx or even flathead top?

Check to see if they are pressed in plastic plugs. Put a small punch against the plug from the inside of the receiver & push. It should come right out.
