I would like to see better photos. If you go to the page and look at stocks, the walnut ones at the bottom, they are really POOR photos..can't tell what the shape really is. Also under the GRAND AFRICAN listing of rifles, they advertise that they use the Montana Rifleman action...fine, but they claim to offer the rifle in 505 Gibbs...don't think that is possible on a Montana Rifleman action. Maybe the PH model they have been talking about for a couple of years or so, but as far as I know it doesn't yet exist. My personal opinion is that if you are trying to get someone to buy a rifle for the better part of 10 grand, you should have a much better website presentation.

For that caliber you have to use the larger actions as seen in the actions page. The Montana is the bases action for the majority of the calibers unless otherwise needed or specified.

333_OKH You helped make my point about the website...I know if you go under actions it lists the Dakota, but if you just click on rifles, look under Grand African, you will see no mention of Dakota actions. This is what I mean by not having a good website. You have to go two different places to find out information on the one rifle. If you are knowledgable about such things, it is a slam dunk about the action size needed, but if you are a novice, IMO, this is very confusing. I would really like to see some of his work, but as you said, it appears no one has worked with this outfit.

Has anyone had experience with this company and gunsmith on either the rifles they offer, or other gunsmithing work such as stockmaking?
I am awaiting his return from Safari to discuss issues related to stockwork that he has done on custom English style rifles, and pre-war type express rifles. Additionally he works with the Montana Rifleman action which my custom is based on.
I would like to hear of any of anyexperience or knowledge of this Company and gunsmith?
