I have heard that there's a lot of voodoo and luck involved with getting a detachable mag conversion to work really, really well.
I'd decide which of the features in the detachable mag rifles you could live with and leave it done at the factory.

If you don't find one yourself, you might consider trying talking to the Elwood Epps Co. in Orillia, Ontario, Canada. They have done that sort of thing for at least 50 years. Wouldn't surprise me if they know someone in the 'States who also does it.



I don't know their phone number off hand, but I'll bet a big buck that Directory Assistance for Ontario has it if they are still in business....
