Hi any comment about this rifle? good or bad? regards yes Socialism is a philosophy of failure, the creed of ignorance, and the gospel of envy; its inherent virtue is the equal sharing of misery.

May be I'm wrong, but I'm doubtful that the rifle, once taken apart and reassembled, can keep exactly the same point of impact, since the scope is installed on the receiver. In theory, the best system is Blaser's, where the scope is mounted on the barrel....

Sorry, I was in between customers and phone calls and when I seen your post for some reason I thought you meant "Tear down" which means something entirely different too me. Never mind! _______________________________________________________________________________ This is my rifle, there are many like it but this one is mine. The new 81 takedown is a scout scope style gun, when the barrel is detached from the receiver the forward mounted scope goes with it. I have two of the older, steel BLR 81's that will be set up for take down. I got the idea from one of the levergun specialists. They just drill a hole in the recoil pad, replace the stock bolt with a Allen head bolt and send along a long "T" handled Allen wrench. You just poke the wrench through the buttpad, unscrew the stock from the gun. The barreled action is short enough to fit in a takedown case. My scopes have Warne detachables too. I'll grant you it's not as compact a package as the Browning full takedown but it's not a scout scope either.
