Have you ever ran across a Mauser action converted to left hand bolt with right hand ejection? It appears that the bolt handle was reengineered to operate off of a toothed gearing assembly machined into the bolt body. Lifting the bolt on the left side, engages a gear and tooth that rotates the bolt. I've never seen this before. It does not appear to be a amateur job, and it is not a bulky modification by any means. Thoughts? Macs B U.S. Army Retired Alles gut!

Roy Gradle? First I've heard of that name. Are his designs of any merit? Macs B U.S. Army Retired Alles gut!

I believe Hoffman made some gear drive leftys on Springfield's, but I do not believe I've ever seen one on a Mauser. https://www.doublegunshop.com/...owflat&Number=577043 John

I've seen pictures of them; a complete abomination of a rifle and a waste of a good action. I have left handed friends who can shoot standard bolt actions perfectly well. Or just buy one.....

I'd hardly call this an abomination. Not a lot of left handed options when this was built.
