The rifle was made by Heym for Montgomery Wards, and the action is an intermediate length. There are more of them around, look for the Model 720 designation.

I recently saw anothe Heym rifle, but the action loos different. What kind of action is this Heym and are they any good?

That looks like that mauser 3000 that was on gunsamerica.

I think those are more recent manufacture than the early '50s stuff with a side trigger lock safety and a safetyless smooth bolt sleeve. Looks like a newer design bottom metal. That bottom metal might even be some kind of alloy piece of crap, although I dont know for sure

I like the old stuff with the military type bottom metal and safety on the bolt sleeve.

Look at the thump slot, Some kind of older military receiever. Check out the tang safety. That bolt handle looks scarey. Looks like a alloy/aluminum botton metal

I have a Model 30S, but I will never take it apart for a custom.

There is a possibility of using the Sako since it is already damaged.
