Anyone fimiliar with a 7mm/300?

Is that a 7mm mag reamed to a 300 mag length case?

Saw a rifle at a Gun shop, Nice 1909 arg actioned rifle marked as 7mm/300.

There have been several wildcat catridges that could go by that moniker but one of the more common ones a few years ago was the 7mmx300weatherby there is a little load data for it in the older sierra books but it has the same case capacity as the 7stw and load data can be interchanged but reducing starting load and working up is always recomended .You will probaly have to cast the chamber to know which one it is though. hope this helps

I started thinking about it after I left the shop. They had dies for it but I didnt ask about it. Ill have to call them. Was more interested in the action. Wanted $495 for it. Im sure it had over $500 in the 1909 action work alone. It was rust blued too.

Another possibilty is the 7mm ICL Wapiti which is the 300 WinMag necked down and shortened slighlty. Only a chamber cast will tell for sure.
