the Hoppes, break-free, and Outers are all the the old "Forrest bore foam" made in Finland IIRC. HTH, Dutch.

I'm not quite sure that's correct, especially re: the BreakFree foam.

RSY, wouldn't be the first time I was wrong, but it's easy to tell: if it says "made in Finland", it ain't Wipe-out. JMO, Dutch.

Has anyone tried Outers Foaming Bore Cleaner, if so what do you think of it?

Wipe-Out in a different colored can still works fine. Break Free is selling it also.

Good point. I'll check my can.

It just seemed to me that the BreakFree worked a lot quicker than the Forrest product. We shall see.

The wipe-out and the break-free are similar but not exactly the same at least the smell and feel slightly different - the break-free is oilier and smells like break free. I've got some of both. I think the break-free with the tube is a better way to get it in the barrel but so far the wipe out seems to work a little better to me at cleaning.......DJ

DJ,
Thanks for the heads up on the differences. I get clear plastic tubing from the NAPA parts store and fasten an 18" piece on the Wipe-Out nozzle with a zip tie. Pretty handy that way. By the time you finish the can, the tubing is shot too.
