Looking to rebarrel a spare CZ 550 (375 Length) to 30-378 WM.

Anyone have a favorite who can do the job?

Contacted a couple gunsmiths, either no reply or can't do.

Thanks for your contacts.

Your problem is 378wby case... It is larger in dameter than 375H&H, I am not sure if you can open up the CZ 550 for that large of a case.

Your best bet might be an ultramag case...

Since the CZ 550 is regularly available in 416 Rigby, the same basic case dimensions as the 378 Wthby case, there should be no problem opening it up. I would try and start with one originally chambered for 416 as the bolt might work without having to open it up. Also the mag box should be pretty close to the right dimensions.

Wow, I wasn't aware that they were offering them in 416 Rigby! 30-378 would be really easy off of one originally chambered in 416 Rigby. Good luck!

The 375H&H CZ's work good for the RUM based cartridges however Big Grin

And yes, they offer them in 416 Rigby as well.
