Way back last year when I first ordered my LH MCR action I called Acra-Bond to see about a stock. I spoke to Rod who had just become the new owner. He sent me a lot of pictures of blanks via e-mail and I chose a nice AA-Claro. He then quoted me a price for everything including an ebony forend, checkering, metal grip cap, recoil pad, sling studs and glass bedding/free float barrel. I did not send him any down payment but told him I'd take it. Now about a year later my action is ready, I called Serengeti to check on my stock ( he still had the blank on the shelf with my name on it) and said he'd honor all his prices even though most of the services had gone up quite a bit With no down payment he really didn't have to honor his quote of a year ago and I'd have no argument with them either, but I thought is was darn nice of them to do this as it saved me 100's of dollars. Nice people to deal with, great communication on their part with both e-mails and phone calls to let me know the status of the stock and get some last minute info of what I wanted. Just wanted to let you know there are still some good companies out there

jb, I have been following your 358 as it moves along. I wish you the best. I met Rod Rogers on last years trip to the Rockies. It was a most enjoyable drive in every way and the time spent with Rod going over specifications for a proposed stock was a highlight for sure. When I asked him for some information on hunting in Montana he put a lot of energy and passion into the answers and they were in great detail. I like the people there a lot.

I agree that these folks from Kalispell and all others connected with them are some of the finest people in the U.S. A trip to MRC and Serengeti will show these folks are trying as hard as they know how. There have been some bumps in the road, most business starting have them, but I have found the folks from that area of Montana to be as honest as any people could be. It's always nice to see others report when good things happen, not just when something negative happens. Thanks for providing that jbmi. Another plug for another great person from that Montana area. If you happen to be in the area up there make the journey down to Plains, Montana and stop in and see Dennis Olson who is a gunsmith there. Don't expect a lot of big talk, just an honest down to earth discussion by someone who consistently produces top quality gunsmithing without a lot of fanfare. Some of the projects he has going on in his shop will flat amaze you with his talent.
